There were some stunning oldies there!

As above, why couldn't you keep your MGB?

Also want to know how the BMW's got on!

I've seen one of those 6er's in Jersey. Beigey metallic. Beautiful.

Sorry, but these are better than any E30 to me... maybe not the M3, but still

Is it too late to convince you to pull the MGB out the auction and use it as your first car?

VERY cool.

If my dad was to spend that money on a car it would be a TVR Chimaera, MGB not very good to drive!

Re the MGB Roadster Ollie, take no notice of the others. You did right to get shot.
Owned a 1965 one in BRG, and though admitedly it was a very pretty car and kind of fun in
the summer, in the winter it was like driving a fridge, a slow one at that. Tax exemption
was handy though, unlike the positive earth battery.
Sold it to a fellow from Weedon who specialized in restoring old cars, and renting them out.
Will try to find some pics.

Would like to see them pics gooner!

And yes I do agree with you that they are a very pretty car, and that they are not that enthusiastic to drive, pretty damn slow etc..... But this was a very good example of a B with lots of history to back it up!

Well for those interested the MGB made £6270! :woohoo: And

The E24 made a poor £1650
The E34 made £2860!
An E31 V12 made £3740!

So the BMW's didn't make very good money! :(

That's a really good price for an MGB roadster at auction. Congratulations, it must have been a good one.

The BMW prices are about what you'd expect tbh. The E31 did pretty well, I'd have expected about £3000 - again, it must have been a good one.

What other MGs did your pap have? An AC Ace is proper. Proper money too, but a gilt edged investment.

IMO was a very good car! Just was time too let it go! :D And Yep I think my Nan would be happy about that price!

My Nan had that MGB, and my Pap had an MG K2 which recently sold and an MG K3 which is up for auction soon and is listed on the H&H website! Which will leave a nice sum for an AC Ace! :D
