Fragging 525e whats worth selling on

Took the engine out yesterday, and have now been given an order from the missus as of 5 mins ago, to get rid of said "piece of shi* on the drive" by the end of next week, luckily i am on holiday for the week so can get the car stripped.

Morsels include

Air con
Cruise control
13 button OBC
E28 specific front Recaros
2.93 LSD, good for M50/M52 conversons i hear

What else is worth keeping, i think

rear lights
front lights
grilles
ABS ecu and hydro unit
Front doors
Door cards
Bumpers past saving
Exhaust looks like only a couple of years old

Anything else, all ideas welcome

Air con = the full kit, defo - God knows what it's worth though
Cruise control = Oh Yes, about £50 if it works
13 button OBC = If it works, yes = but only £20-30
E28 specific front Recaros = They fit E30's = £150 a pair just for the frames but they're 4 door/Touring only
2.93 LSD, good for M50/M52 conversons I hear = Yes, worth £50 all day long

What else is worth keeping, i think

rear lights = Only if perfect.
front lights = Not worth a w*nk - I've ended up giving them away
grilles = Ditto
ABS ecu and hydro unit = Leave them on the shell
Front doors = If perfect Yes
Door cards = If they're cloth, no. If full black vinyl and mint, maybe
Bumpers past saving = Frag 'em, but save any good corner sections
Exhaust looks like only a couple of years old = Forget it


I've fragged a few E28's and have worked out what sells and what doesn't. A really mint bonnet has a value (£40), screens don't, working instrument clusters do (£30), mint sunroof panels do. Note the word 'Mint'. Anything less than mint is worthless.

Yes, they're worth keeping but I have never, ever sold one in God knows how many years. One of those rare parts that no bugger seems to want!

If they are non ABS ones, they aren't really worth keeping unless they are shiny mint with the black paint still visible. ABS ones are worth much more because they also fit E24 635CSi's.
