Hi guys,
Not been on the zone for a while as 'lost interest' in the E30 for bit
I have had a new boost of enthusiasm and am starting my 3.5 swap! I have read that the 2.5 flange and prop can be used, but my car has a 320 prop. Are the 320 and 325 props the same?
I'm hoping so then i can find a 2.5 gearbox flange (as ive read the the 2.0 one wont fit the 3.5 box) and bob's your uncle...
Any help will be great
Cheers, Mark

Stronger option is to get the rear half of the 2.5/2.0 prop and front half of the m30 prop(shortend) or find an m3 prop.

I have read all of the different options and possibilities but to start with im going to give the standard prop a go. My theory is that if the standard prop can cope with M20 turbo power (as many people have run) then it should take M30 grunt?
I use the car for drifting and have only replaced 1 donut which i noticed was cracked and split when replacing the output shaft seal. For 18 months of abuse and 7/8 trackdays that seems pretty good to me.
Cheers, Mark

You'll need a 325 prop and flange as its different than the 320 prop, i think the 320 prop is longer and thinner.

You need a manual 325i prop and the flange off a m20 325i box,m20 320i flanges are different.
Im using the standard prop with my m30 and no issues.......yet!

yep, i can confirm the above mate, im also using a standard 2.5 prop and all you have to do is just swap the gearbox flange to a 2.5 one... job done !

Sounds like the most straightforward, money friendly option to me!
