so many variables mate, did yours have the 4 lambda probes? are you still using obd2? try a diagnostic first i reckon. mines obd1 and i done that on a cheapy draper scanner thing, obd2 is a bit more complex i think.

Try checking the fuel pressure. I had fuel pressure problems when I did mine They run much better with the full pressure. Fit a small pressure gauge that reads to at least six bar and check the pressure with the engine running see if it maintains pressure.

yep 5 bar...... thanks man..... could this cause the limp mode now?e30_Turbo wrote:Don't B32's run a 5bar fp?
Stock B25 pump won't do 5 bar for long, upgrade time

I wouldn't know but Ian Haynes will, he owns the original e30b32 evo and has a working knowledge 2nd to none although I'm sure Brian Moore would give him a good run in a pub quizSAE30 wrote:yep 5 bar...... thanks man..... could this cause the limp mode now?e30_Turbo wrote:Don't B32's run a 5bar fp?

Maybe the lean condition causes the ecu to go into limp home mode, maybe, again I'm guessing.

Sounds about right to me. The engine management will pick up on the low fuel pressure at one or more of the Lambda probes as a high AFR and put her into limp mode - At least that's what I think will happen. I am sure an expert will come along soon.e30_Turbo wrote:Maybe the lean condition causes the ecu to go into limp home mode, maybe, again I'm guessing.
