I got a IS boot spoiler with a LED (not standard), and its too heavy for the boot, has anyone had this problem, and can it be fixed?

you need the uprated bootlid springs from a mtech II kit car.

This is for a saloon i assume, if so the part numbers for the springs are

41.62.2.238.836 (right hand spring)
41.62.2.238.835 (Left hand spring)

right PIA to fit apparently....

listed as Ԛ£8 each approx.

give the dealers another ring with the above part numbers and see if they can help.

Have you tried moving the ends of the torsion springs over to the next slots ?.

There are 2 slos for the springs, nn soiler cars use the lower tension position but all spoilered cars (lip or mtec) use the other one just behind it.

Worked fine for my fake mtec before I put the lip back on.

Cheers,

You could tie a few Helium balloons to the spoiler.

the springs temple means are under the back shelf in the boot look up n you will see em just move em to the other slots and see if the bootlid still hits you in the head (ouch)if it does try again hth Daz
