They look like models of an E21 320 turbo Gp5 racers...

That would make them late 70s

If they are late 70s you might want to speak to someone who knows about this stuff before they get trashed!

how cool does that car look?? i think i might get on to my dad to drag my old set out of his loft as there is a model shop in my town which sell's these so once i get my track & car's back i'm off to buy a couple.

i think the G/F might have a few word's to say about comming in & finding the living room floor covered in track though lol,
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Marklin also made a car race system in the 70s and 80s similar to scalextric - might one of theirs. Any distinguishing marks on them?

PS are a German model railway maufacturer. They also used to do a similar system to mecanno.

hi,just joined the forum did have a smart e34 540 but had to sell it {sob!} so looking for a e30 six to get my bm fix,i am a bit sad when it comes to models so i can tell you that the cars in question were made by tomy in the afx range and are based on the seventies 320 racers worth keeping as most have been wrecked.i only remember this as i had a ghost racer set with testarossa and 959 cars when i was young.
