Just inquiring as to any extra work that will have to be done on this conversion compared to an s50 into a 320 or 325. eg. New/Uprated fuel pump, etc.
Cheers for all your advice,
Dylan

If the 316i or 320i is a saloon, and not a cab or touring, then a total suspension/brake change is required, to a minimum of that fitted to a 325 saloon or any cab or touring, and with six cylinder front springs

as long as the base car is solid it should not be a problem. as near enough everything will need replacing/upgrading anyway. i started with a 318 is because it was the most rust free example i could find. a disc brake rear end would be helpful, but i reckon its only a bolt up jobbie anyway. the fuel pump will need changing, but that will be the least of your worries!! the only thing i can think of that has not been at least removed/reconditioned is the fuel tank!! jhonno also started with a 316, i dont think it caused him any mega problems.

Thanks for the quick replies. Yea, I realise it's not going to be an easy two step job, just making sure before I buy the base car. This will be fun
