top ends should be quiet not rattling like a maracca

Rust is the killer as has been stated, main areas to check are the jacking points, inner sills, front floor, inner wings and rear axle carrier areas. Plus normal old scrap checks as for E30s etc. Make sure if you look at one you get it up in the air or at least jacked up and have a good poke around...

These dont rust as bad as the e30. Sills can go slightly, and the door shuts.

The e28s are great though in 3.5 form. They will murder a 325i. Hardley any left though.


Handling is just like the e30 though....(terrible)
