...in front of the drivers side electric window buttons.
When pressed it shows red around the edge and pops up. Has no markings on.

I take it you have 4 electric windows??????
It is a kill switch for the rear windows, if it doesn't work, pull it out, maybe its bee disconnected below.

No, just the front two are electric, rear are winders.
Its a factory button so I assume it has a purpose.
Sport button? :p

It's not a lock, neither is it a switch. It's a resettable cut out, and should be left alone, unless it's tripped!pac1982 wrote:No as above its a lock for the leccy windows i have the same button and it does just what i said

lol it was sooooooo embarrasing
- pulled into my garage and told the mech dunno what's happened but both windows not working - he pressed the switch back in

As I get older I realize that you can't please everyone - pissing everybody off is however a piece of cake

Either way when I press it my windows are locked so even though u may be correct I still class it as some kind of window lockBrianmoooore wrote:It's not a lock, neither is it a switch. Your windows are 'locked' anyway, when the doors are closed and the ignition off. Why would you want a secondary 'lock'?
If you continually operate the 'switch', you will damage it, and it will fail to hold on. It just isn't designed for continuous operation.
