Hey everyone, I've posted a photo or two of my car once here but haven't really been active. I've been in the technical section a lot but not really elsewhere. I'm Andrew, this 318i is my first car, and I'm addicted. It started as an American 318i, and is making vast improvements to restore itself to Euro spec, and eventually M-tech 1 status.

Here is how it looked when I got it:

Here it is as of this morning:

And a few more

I keep a VERY detailed project log through this link:
http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=128069

You guys should check it out. There are tons more pictures of it there and detailed information about everything I have done to it.

I also made a very detailed Headlamp Cleaning System installation and repair tutorial, but nobody took to it.

Anyways, just saying Hi and introducing myself!

Andrew - your Headlamp Cleaning system installation thread is awesome. This NEEDS to be in the Zone Wiki.

Your attention to detail is really impressive.

I don't know how to WIKI it myself, but if you need help I am sure that someone can help. This is a valuable resource that shouldn't be lost :D

+1 on the above. Contact 'Hoshy' - I think he deals with the Wiki.

Well done Andrew, fantastic looking car.

Surely. Please excuse the bootliner vinyl flaps inside the toolkit, I need to epoxy them around so they aren't hanging over. On the left I have the Jack, Lug Wrench, and Wheel Chock. On the right I have the trunk tub (exclusive to very early e30's) where spare oil, warning triangle, first aid kit, and something else go. I have ordered the warning triangle and am working on the first aid kit. The gray thing in back is the OEM sunshade. I used Velcro on the bottom so it wouldn't slide around and it would fit neatly up against the wall.

On the bootlid itself, I have the small bootliner, fitted to withhold the large toolkit and inside the large toolkit, I have all the necessary tools, minus the combination pliers, 3 spanner wrenches, and the reversible red screwdriver. The large red screwdriver is the original and very hard to find. (Read my project thread for more info)

Yes look at my project thread, I took it and stripped it down to just the glass panel, repainted everything and had new brackets fabricated and then installed. It starts here and goes to the latest page:

My very late 318i four door has one! Not exclusive at all!

Your tub must be a different shape than mine.

Thanks :D
I agree, the Americans had no idea what they were doing while modifying imported cars to their standards. My "diving board" bumpers looked absolutely horrid before. I'm eventually going for a full tech 1 kit, but not quite yet. I have a few things I need to take car of before that.
