Depend how long ago... you should give it a week or two, they might just be busy/away.
You've got 40 days or something to complain to paypal, in which case i'd be surprised if you didn't get your money back.
Has the message been read?

Did you send the payment as a gift or as goods? If you sent it as goods then you'll be able to get a refund.

Which is why asking people to send money as a gift is the first sign of dodginess in a trader....

thats not as interesting for us.spook wrote:Why cant you just phone the geezer up instead of sending messages/posting about it on here.
personally id avoid dealings with anyone that wanted to do the gift option. thats a cheats charter and a clever ploy by paypal to avoid covering for the shady characters.

maybe im to suspiscious but as a buyer id want the little cover that paypal offers should goods disappear to get my cash back. if your selling your ok as you dont release the goods until the cash has cleared anyway. unfortunately theres many chancers on here willing to exploit the trusting nature of the club 'family'.

If your asked to send the money as a gift and are unsure of somebody's trustworthiness all you have to do is look in the feedback section. I always ask for funds to be sent as a gift, like town said why should I pay for your piece of mind? If you want the extra protection thats fine by me but it comes at a price

I always ask for people to pay as a 'gift' as i don't see why i should pay for someone else to use Paypal unless it is an ebay auction etc...
As always there are going to be some dodgy types that take advantage of this system to rip people off but that is what the feedback section is for.
Without knowing how long it has been since the original topic poster sent his money ie days/weeks it is imposible to comment further.

by sending money as a gift you are virtually waving your rights... bolloks to that.. add a little on top to cover the fees if they mean that much to you... either way i send it under goods/whatever it is... even if asked to send as a gift.

not sure about paying for items as a gift anymore, but to be honest i really never had a problem before...
I think if its a lot of money then you shouldn't pay as a gift so at least you can be covered by Pay Pal...
