hey, i have recently bought a stainless steel cone air filter for my 325i, however with out the airbox the Air Flow Meter has no where to be mounted, as far as i can see, so i want to know if any one knows where i could find a heatshield for the air filter which will also mount up with AFM. thanks for your time.

We bought a sheet of aluminium from B&Q for a tenner, then you just need to cut and shape accordingly. Only temporary..

It was steel, we couldn't get aluminium in sufficient thickness, the thickest they had was 0.5mm which was too thin.
We used the steel but sprayed it with BBQ paint to give a black finish and protect the steel from rusting.

I fabricated a bracket and bolted it between the AFM and airbox fastener.
It did the trick

yeah we went for the 0.5mm steel, same thickness as the alloy but much stronger.Jimbob wrote:Eh!?! I thought it was the 0.5mm stuff we used! Fair enough..
