Are they designed to be a reserve tank or a spare? a Primary tank?
Whats the reason for them and anyone got any photos?

theyre just an emergency petrol can, but shaped to fit inside the spare wheel in the boot.
quite neat actually.
i made my own cardboard box to fit in the wasted space to put a few tools and essential spares in before our trip to france earlier in the summer, would like one of the petrol cans at some point though

cheers,
harry

Will it fit under a spare wheel, or take up the whole space?

Harry, the e30 boot tidy is quality. Does the same job. Fits inside the spare.

Sorry to jack the threat, but now interested. I have a side tray bood tidy for where the batery would go in the 325i, but thats on my 320i and wouldn't fit!

Yep, I fill it, and use it every, say 6 months to stop it going stale. I put 5 ltrs in it, and I think thats its capacity.

You can buy the can new from BMW still for not that much but you CAN'T buy the filler neck which is a liberty.
£120 for the new one.
I also have 2 rear red surrounds lol! One's on my 325i killer and the other is for the right Cabrio/Touring.

Nothing personal - it's psychochild's thread and pressed fire first.
Why's that nasty anyway - would you sell to someone who's been giving you grief from the get go and doesn't even know you?

I wasn't giving you grief!
Just amusing myself with stupid banter. It always happens during a 325i vs. Galvanisers thread...
I'll find one one day...
I wouldnt trust sending my hard earned to ratch any way. Not because it could be robbed, but because it my be spent on his iS!
