there i was looking at a local police bmw 530d touring the other day and thinking it looked really cool... the stickers showing off the lines of the car a treat. mind wanders further..... what would a police stickered e30 touring look like? better still a german polizei stickered one?

i'm now left seriously considering getting some green vinyl stripes made up and going for it!

does anyone know the rules / regs for this? i wouldn't have a light bar or siren or anything but would want 'polizei' on it. as id doesn't say 'police' would i get away with it?

the downsides i can see are that people will take the piss (but they do that anyway!), i might get into trouble with the law if i'm not careful, i'll definately get into trouble with the law if i go to the 'ring with it and it's likely to be a target for pissed wankers to smash up at any given oppertinity

does anyone know where i can get vinyl flexible enough for cars (eg, like the pro vinyl wrap stuff)

aaaanyway, some deviant pics for you all to laugh at: enjoy....

I imagine I'll be in the minority here, but I think it would look pretty cool. Those two dubs certainly seem to be able to pull it off OK, so I imagine a touring would be able to as well if it was suitably euro-ed out.
Not in E30s any more :(

you utter deviants!!!!

the scirocco does look cool. i think that would look better than the E30's there. green on the 'powaaaahhh' bulge on the bonnet, green below the rubbing strips and amybe some ID numbers on the roof.
some banded steels would complete the euro police poverty look a treat. :D

Do it. Only if the green colour is a vinyl which can be removed.

Get a rust free poverty spec mooredoor like this, then put a M20 or M50 so it can be a sleeper.

in bed, stroking hardons over 4 spoke steering wheels, and properly placed Alpenis decals...

I honestly reckon the green may make your car look a bit girly- its mean and moody at the moment (if a touch high  )

What your doing is kind of OEM. Assuming your making a replica of the ones above.

There was a white GT3 Polizi stickered up at Le mans. It looked the fecking tits. I would suspect a lot of grief from the UK fuzz though. :( As you may or may not be aware, anything goes in France around Le mans week. If only the Police in the UK stepped back and thought about things for a few seconds.

Yep, there’s dozens of OEM looks to go for too. You could do an ADAC one, one of the airport support vehicles with a big ”˜Follow Me’ sign on the back and Frankfurt Flughafen stickers, an ambulance like those W123 Merc based ones, a Nurburgring support vehicle, german army staff car with matt green paint and blacked out bottle tops and flags”¦.

How about a green stripe Carkeys and Thruch style? You know, using the 'D' post to take the green up over the back of the roof....
You should get away with putting Politeske on the stripe.....
