Got a 325i SE Mooredoor a few weeks back got the rust and handling under control but need to do something to get rid of them pesky Civic type R's from my rear end.

Totaly standard apart from a Scorpion system and a K&N filter...

M20 2.7 Build? M52b28? M30b35? S50b30???

What gets the best results without taking forever of costing the earth. Only Got £1500ish, not sure how much thimg cost...
Please help me escape the nasty jap crap!!!

Head rebuild with cam and a remap? Unless you can do an engine swap yourself?? Then go for an M50 swap because it will cost you more than £1500 to pay for someone else to do it.

my suggestion would be to do a compression test if its good then
go for a cheeky head skim to up the CR and a nice cam to complement it
the chip it
for a few extra poines but thatst my own opinion

My dad had a garage for 10 years he said he would help, so no labour costs...?

M30 is a old BA (boat Anchor) which don't liked to be revved play with the M20 plety of diffrent options for 1500 quid with no labour costs envoled it can be tweaked with my earlier suggestions being done for pittance if labour is not a cost factor.

Personnally i'd turbo the M20, it can be done for £1500 if you get afew bargains ;)

Oh and the M20 is a BA too!!!
