hello quick couple of questions.......
am needing a flywheel to make start on 3.5 conversion have an engine from a 735i and have just got hold of a gearbox from a e34 535 sport, so if anyone can help please let me know,,
also i have heard you can use m20 loom on the m30 engine,, my loom has the 2 row ecu and the 735 loom as 3 row,, what ecu would i run it off on the m20 loom?? just want to make sure!!
Ready 2 start 3.5 conv..needing flywheel- e34 535i please!

You could use any m20 ecu, with a chip from speedtouch, thats what i'm running.

is that on the m20 loom??? thing is my m20 doesnt have the tdc at the front pully like my m30 lump, its on the gearbox housing asits old skool,, what did u do about the mounting brakets??

ive got to use either my m20 loom (pre facelift) or the 735i one which is on the engine,, what do you rekon,,
my m20 ecu has the 2 row of pins
and the 735 is 3 row type,,,,
my m20 ecu has the 2 row of pins
and the 735 is 3 row type,,,,

rite,, well the m20 engine and box is out,, i have started preping m30 and have changed sump gasket,, and rocker and timing chain gaskets, fitted the spigot bearing and had to order flywheel bolts from bmw & wont be here till fri!!! so i have used m50 bolts for now,, as i dont think i can wait that long,
Am going to used the m30 loom which originaly came from 1992 735i,, Will i need to change any of the wiring to make the engine run?? i will be using the 7 series ecu

I think theres only 3 wires to swap in order to get the blower, windows and eco dash guage to work.
