There was a super rotten white e30 there.
It kinda embarresed me as an e30 how someone could think that car is good enough to be in the show and how they could even bare to be seen in it is a mystery.
Went there to see adit's IS but he went to festival of speed instead.
That red e30 with loadsa screens and shit looked sorta decent outside but inside was shit too much jammed in there like 7 screens and the guy was about 18 stone. got to sit in the bmw bubble car aswell.
Not many stalls selling bits n peices never beat the mini show i went to years ago

Yep i was there in the white e28 M5 - just got her back from rebuild on thurs!

Shame everybody was looking at mine eh
We had a great laugh, it was a shame about to few rumours lessening the numbers and stopping whole forums attending ??? but overall it was a good day.
I think personally think that Richard having to prove his innocence it total bullsh*t !? I thought you had to be proven guilty not proven innocent. I don't know the guy so I chose to speak to the guy directly and challenge him on the rumours I was satisfied with what he said so we chose to attend as there is no proof as far as I can see... just a bit of summising with figures that they can only guess ???. Why don't these people who reckon it is so easy to put on a show of this size and give the profits to charity give it a try and see how they get on ??? It was also interesting to see one of the main anti Richard protagonists there polishing his car too !
Why does the BMW scene have to be so clicky ?
It was a nice change to go to a show and not have a plague of E30s too ;) However there were some very nice ones on display.

Mark.
I'm actually 16 Stones and there are 10 screens in there and each can play something different to the next. It's a show car to showcase what can be done and not an every day car so i can live with itarmanib wrote:GC318 wrote:armanib wrote:gc

Forgot all about this
The 5 series stand was great with some really nice cars, especially the e28's.
I intend to go again next year, if the mods and zone members are happy, I would like to help organise a zone stand.
Please let me know if you would like me to do this?

I thought it made a great show car and gives people lots of ideas of what is possible. Not my cup of tea but I appreciate all the work gone into it. Great to see someone so passionate about there car.
Ha, ha. Dont worry mate. No offence taken. I wanted a car to get people talking and it certainly does that good or badGC318 wrote:d6dph wrote:bootyman wrote: Guys, my initials appear in this quote but IS NOT from me. Please can this be corrected?

Have never met the fellow in question, but have heard the rumours, which i neither believe or disbelive.
Having said that, the charity in question is imo a very good cause. Understand completely about the orgainiser being innocent until proven guilty, but as it seems the charity itself
is being deprived of donations due to people not attending this particular meet, why are the takings and donations not made public and in doing so, put paid to any rumour.

Hi Ben, long time no see, glad to see you still have the council chariots to bring out every now and then, are you still based in Milan then?
...with regards Bimmerflex finances then its not really up to the judgement of hearsay to prove/claim people as guilty or innocent without knowing the facts hence why we have tried to keep things on here "low key" as we didn't want to be seen as jumping on any bandwagons. hence, as Iain said earlier, we are currently discussing an official Zone presence for next years event.
the only way for bimmerflex to get better is for more forums such as this to promote the event by turning up, the more clubs etc attending the more people will hear about it and traders will want to put more stands there, i think richard does a great job and i can't believe some forums are questioning him, i'm sure by the time he has paid out for the trophies the venue and wages etc there's not a great deal left for the charity anyway, i think it was a good meet, nice and relaxed everything to hand. Traders normally sell a load of pony anyway...

As for Richard i have seen evidence which is why i can see why people would think the books are being cooked. As someone suggested, the best thing he could do is make eveything public and put an end to it once and for all, because people normally take silence as a sign of guilt and it's a very serious accusation. I dont pay to get in so i cant complain eithert way, but for his sake i hope he is innocent cause to be a Police officer and then rob from a charity is simply unforgivable.

because it was largely "boycotted" by the zone tari (see above).
i fully intended to go but the last-minute offer of VIP tickets to the Goodwood Festival Of Speed took precedence

Get a f* grip,we are talking about 20+yr.old sub £10k cars here,NOT the crown jewels!
I ended up going because I couldn't make the Historic Sports Car Club meet at Brands. I also went because, despite the rumours I wanted to witness the event first hand.
The photos I posted only show a very small selection of the E30's that were there. I was dissapointed not to see any of the magazines with a stand, especially as Louise (PBMW) is such a supporter and posted on here.
Mods, i know your discussing this event amongst yourselves, maybe you could invite Richard to talk through the issues with you?
I feel that if we show that we would be keen to support this event but need our minds put at rest then we can hopefully move forward.
If Richard has done nothing wrong then I am sure he would be more than happy to chat.
Communication is always the key to these situations. The longer things are left, the harder it is to move on and the 'rumours' continue.
Lets base our decisions on proven facts and evidence please.
I for one am planning to go next year and would be more than happy to help organise an official zone stand.
But either way, I'll see those of you that do go there, shake your hand and share a drink and a laugh.
