Since rebuilding the head the car sometimes wont start. It turns over but just wont fire up.
It starts fine if left for a while but if you try to start it a few mins after it has just been turned off quite often wont.
Cant think what could be causing it as it was fine before the head rebuild and everything went back on as before.

Could be a dry joint in the fuel pump relay?
Or fuel vaporisation for some reason?

I was thinking it could be the fuel pump relay as well but its the fact that it never did it before the rebuild that was confusing me.

Strange isnt it. The car wouldnt start last night and started 3 times in a row tonight after I adjusted the valve clearances. I dont think doing that cured it though, its prob just a coincidence.

Its defo an electrical problem mate.
I would check all connections to engine sensors etc.
Then look @ the fuel pump/relay.

Cool, might change both it and the yellow one and see how it goes.

Buy the fuel pump / dme relays mate. I had similar problems, cured them straight away. Its worth doing any how, they are very cheap even from a BMW dealer.
