i am going to be doing a couple of group buys over the next few weeks, as i have recently developed a few things for my mates track toy which may be of interest to zoners.
I am going to get some steering guibo's made up; solid aluminium replacement ones which will replace the rubber disc currently in most steering joints.
Most rubber discs are approaching the 20 year old mark and are the cause of sloppy steering and some serious 'play' in the steering wheel.
Here is a picture of the standard guibo after a track day.
This is what the alloy one will look like once assembled.
The part will be made out of aluminium alloy; previous ones which have been sold have been to the nurburgring amongst other trackdays and have not faltered whatsoever; replacing this part is a once in an ownership job and completely removes the chance of yet another bit of rubber perishing.
This time round, the discs will be circular instead of the funky pattern above which was used in the previous buy; the simpler design has mainly been used to reduce manufacturing costs. I should be able to offer the guibo's for around £33 delivered.
I need at least ten names to make this viable, although i should be able to supply quite a few.
