OK, not sure about this, but will ask anyway.
I have a Sterling Silver 318i. It has the anthracite silvery/grey looking interior. It has dark grey carpets and door cards and a light grey parcel shelf (maybe its faded over the years).
I am changing the seats and door cards to a black leather sport set with rear head rests.
Question: for those of you with black leathers, what colour is your parcel shelf? Is there one out there in black? Will mine look odd against the dark black? The carpet will remain grey as I do like it.
Look forward to hearing your views on this.
Cheers

carbon shelf is for m3 shells only though is it not? did you see the dash on there? i wouldn't fancy cutting out the holes required unless i had one to practice on first!
318i - your rear deck trim can be coloured by painting on cloth dye colouring or re-covering. i re-covered mine with acoustic carpet using trim adhesive and no-one would ever know that it's not factory original. you can then have any colour that you like.

Cheers all
I love that carbon fibre site link sent by undergroundstyling. The stuff costs more than my car's worth! So it's a definite no-no.
Placey: thanks for the cheaper alternative. Will have a go at the dye first, if it looks crap, then I will strip it down and recover with some black or dark grey material of some sort. I don't have a massive ICE install so don't need to go down the acoustic rooute like you have.
I don't want such a glaringly obvious change of trim/colour from nice black leather headrests resting against a faded and washed out parcel shelf...I now need a few days off work to get all these small jobs done so she's right.
