It worked fine on mine, and the standard E30 master cylinder bolts straight up (no spacer needed).
I only had to change mine for a Mk2 servo because Im now using the Audi master cylinder and that wont fit the Mk1 GTi servo.
Is the mk2 servo bigger any mods required to fit? this maybe useful for an m50 conversion

There were times when I wish I could of forgotten about it

It is much fun, almost too much for the road. It gets up the 60mph limit too quick and then really starts to pick up 8O

Hi guys.
Bloody hell its been a while, I guess I should update this now.....

The car has been on the road for almost a year now and it is all done bar a few little odds and sods that will always need finishing :)

Ive now got the E30 M3 suspension and brakes on - what a difference they make as it now stops properly :o
The suspension is Grp N race stuff, so the front has a little more neg camber than a standard M3, and the turn in is really something else, although in the wet can be a little skittish.

The wheels in the pics are only temporary, although Im beginning to like them :(
Ive got either some 16" or 17" BBS to fit, but cant afford the tyres for either just yet :(

The car was pink until about a month ago. A days work with proper rotary mop and some G3 got it into the state below - I havent got any before pics, but trust me the difference is unbelievable. The plastics (wing mirrors and boot spoiler) faded back to pink within a day of being mopped, thats why Ive left the top part of the Mtech boot spoiler off.

Yes, it is dirty in the pics and I cant be bothered to clean the wheels 8)

Future plans were to refit the plastic wiring cover and to clean up the rocker cover, plenum etc etc, but its functional as is and Im more into making things go than looking pretty...

Oh, and its an absolute blast to drive :D

Thanks Ryan 8) It was indeed fun winkeye
As you can see from the dates (I did most of the work back 2004) some of the details are outdated now, the main one being the brake servo clearance and which servo to use.
It should be possible to fit the plenum in by using a smaller servo and moving it over. You may still need to trim a bit, but nowhere near as much as I did.

Unfortunately, my conversion is long gone now and I still miss it :(

Wow, 2013 was my last post about the Sport 8O
Time for an update...

With the S50b30 long gone, I'd struggled with what to do with the car. It's had an M20 back in it and plans were brewing to rebuild the original M20 as a 2.8 stroker.
I have also been thinking of V8s (who doesn't?!?) or another S50 conversion but didn't want to do another full on conversion from scratch again and the prices for S engines have gone mental

So when a good deal came up local to me, my mind was made up....

Yesterday morning I packed my tools and engine into the works van and headed off to collect this...

A complete M52 conversion. Built/rebuilt by Danthe, it's been treated to a good going over, M50 inlet and stroked to 3.0l. I'll find out the exact details at some point.

So, time to get a 330i back in my life :D

From memory it was an itg filter. The heat shield was homemade.

I seem to need some O-rings for the injectors (hopefully arriving this week) and then it's ready to rumble.
