Afternoon all,
I have a diff and drive shafts sitting in the garage that were taken from an E32 735i 6 cylinder car that I think was an auto. Just wondered how I would go about finding out the ratio of this particular diff?
Any help appreciated,
Cheers

I take it the tag is missing off the back of the diff.
You can find out the ratio of the diff by marking a point on the input flange and output flanges(tippex),count how many turns it takes on the input flange to turn the output flanges 360 degree.
ie,3.64 turns = 3.64 ratio

Yeah the tag is missing, however I will have a go at doing what you suggested.
