engine bay yellow wax

i know its been asked before,but how do you remove this successfully,even though there isnt much on my bay,it seems to have been sprayed randomly over plastics and metal,its easy enough to remove from plastics.

i used a combination of gunk, Auto Glym Machine cleaner, water and a scotch pad took some doing but it came off in the end

to get rid i used a steam cleaner with a stuff brush on the end, works well

still need to do the nuts and crannys etc

v/nice alex but i dont have a steem cleaner,so its chemicls im in search of thanks anyway, ive tried thinners and gunk..

the key is the scotch pad! u could get it off using water alone if you use a scotch pad but its much easier with gunk, dont forget to leave to gunk on for a while else your not using it to its full potential

His guy just used 3 in 1. Put it on all over the place - drove the car for a few days then cleaned it off with a cloth - re applied the 3 in 1 drove for another few days and cleaned it off with a cloth - etc etc till it looked like this

Cleanest bay I've ever seen - look at the top of the rad.

I met him at the BMW NE stand at Thirlestane Castle this year. He doesn't come on here that much and I cant remember his name sorry.

Yep - that's what I was thinking - he obviously saw the disbelief in my eyes and he said he didn't know how it worked but someone told him to try it and he did - the results speak for themselves!!

for someone who hates chrome engine bling i think thats awsome,

probs because their is no excessive chrome covers and metal bits bolted on

wow i have an 318IS e36 and always wondered why it was so yellowy. i'll have to try this.

HOLD THE F***ING PHONE. Now that's what my e36 should be looking like, not that ssip yellow crappy colour BMW issued it with.
