Had a very cheap track day Wednesday; £67 for the day at Llandow :D
It was organised by a chap on scoobynet so I was never going to be the fastest out there (320i Touring), but I had lots of fun and surprised a few people 8)

Here's how she was :

Dropped The track 325i, currently being stripped and tidied, kindly lent its full coilovers.

Cambered Said coilovers have adjustable top mounts

Equipped With Cobra Monacos and three-point harnesses

Stripped Well, sort of. Removing the rear seats takes under a minute and needs no tools. Besides, they had to come out to attach the harnesses.

Ready To kick some scooby ass! Or at least not get ours kicked toobadly.....

I should have some video ready to upload over the next few days, too.

Great stuff Handpaper. How did she handle with the modified rear ARB? Did you get any drifting in as planned?

The rear ARB was no stiffer; the link arms are too short to reach the new pick-up points

Drifting was very difficult. The spring rates I'm running are copied from the H&R Nurburgring kit, 120N/mm front, 45N/mm rear. This hard front / soft rear setup gives good stability and excellent rear grip, taming the worst excesses of the notoriously tail-happy E30.
Fortunately, I didn't have to drift to have fun. It was a rainy day from start to finish which is always a great leveller and I found I was as fast as most in the corners, though they did tend to disappear up the straights.
300bhp vs 130, what can I do?
Outbrake 'em, outcorner 'em, outthink 'em, stay in their mirrors 'till they spin or run for the pits

She did good. The slightly uncomfortable looking chap in the passenger seat is my father, who had never been near a racetrack before. He wants to know when I'm doing another track day, preferably somewhere 'longer, with a few more corners'. I feel a 'Ring trip coming on :P

Ah'm gonna git you sucka!
Actually, he had passed me down the main straight a few seconds earlier and I span two corners later (the only time that day) trying to stay with him :o:

End-of-day group shot. Turbo-CRX chap and I were told we were welcome to join in, despite not being Subarus :D

Vid of the session those photos were taken in.
