my original BMW drivers side mat is just starting to look a little tired now. to be fair it's 20 years old, has had feet stamping on it for 175k miles and was soaked in brake (clutch) fluid a while ago then pressure washed to clean it. still very presentable.e30bmlover wrote:originality?? i wouldnt put anything other than bmw mats... in my bmw...pac1982 wrote:Why pay huge amounts of money for OE BMW ones when you can get some perfectly good after market E30 mats that fit sweet

OK - I'll get back to you in 2029.Jhonno wrote:Confirm that in 20 yearsdarkchild wrote:Motormec stock mats from the OE suppliers. The E46 ones I've recently purchased are superb and the E36 set was identical to my dealer supplied ones for quality.
The E36 set were exactly the same as my original ones and they're far better than the ebay £15 specials.
BMWs mats aren't what they used to be though. I know of a set of E92 mats that lasted 20K before developing a hole!

Thanks guys, its the originality part that I was after. Ive got a set of mats from 1986, BMW OE ones, and they are still good, but wrong colour for the car. I've got a set of aftermarket ones, but they are not the same quality, and don't look the part. I think they came from Ebay. I'll be keeping an eye out for some 2nd hand original black/grey ones!
Selection of BMW hardtops available, please ask!
