I brought this 1984 320i four door last night for the massive price of £200, i was going to break it to have a stock of spare parts for my e30 but having driven it home i changed my mind, the car only has 63000miles on the clock and from all the history that came with is it seems genuine, the car seems to be low on rust and well looked after, even all the glass is original with the reg stamped on it,

The only issue is i brought the car as damaged with no logbook, the guy who sold it too me did not no if it had been claimed or written off, it seems like an easy fix as most of the bits that are broken just bolt on.

Does anyone know what i should do with it, how much it will cost to repair, how much it would be worth after, or weather i should just break it!

Save it. Unusual colour and it does not look rusty.

If you want a chrome 4 door then its worth fixing, if you intend on making money out of it though you wont get very far

I like the colour. Baz and Si fragged a C 2.5 in that colour and in Alpina kit it looks really nice.

That's a really nice colour, but even so I reckon £200 was a bit over the odds really especially considering the lack of a logbook.

Restore it, don't break it. Shouldn't cost you too much to get it back into good shape :)

He's bought a few cars before from them. They send an invoice with their bank details that you pay in to, then they ship it to a UK port which you then pick up and have the pay the Government VAT and Tax.

I did very similair damage to mine, but your chassis leg seems to have taken a bit more of a knock. It cost me £90 all in for a new wing valance and bumper, but I was dead lucky and fluked all the parts in the right colour so i didn't need a respray :D .

well its gunna need a respray as ive never seen one in thei colour, i have half rescued the front pannel with a hammer, and got an old wing in need of filler, so they are all done, the only think is the bonnet has been pushed down and i dont think that is repairable, the only parts i need is headlight and center section of the bumper to get it back on the road
ive it doesent need a check ive already been offerd a swap for a 318is e36 for it once it done!

just did a my text check on the car, it says not stolen and not scraped but worryingly says the car was a cat c write off in 2000, the is where the history from the first owner ends, it does require a vic check, it says it has had 5 owners, so that means 4 people have owned it since it was crashed, and somehow it has an mot untill august this year and the tax ran out in jan,
this has really confused me as i assume as it had been off the road since jan it was crashed in the ice, either it was never repaired, but 9 years with a damaged car, and brocked light wudent pass an mot, so i assume it was involved in larger accident in 2000 then another one this year? i properly confused now, at least its not stolen! and can be put back on the road.

youve obvously got a good eye for this, i thought that was just polish about that hadent been wiped off!

i keep forgeting how old the car is, in 2000 it was a 16 year old car so even small damage woulf write it off.
