Getting ready for a major change in oil for the 2.7, nearing 5000 miles and want some good oil. I've been given the different options of oil, I just need to know:
Do these engines oil temps exceed 120degC often?

after about 50min on the track it might get to 110 deg C but if it goes above that something will pop.

After a good thrashing Jim, my oil temp guage goes just above 100 so I think you should be okay with 120 max
