Morat started a thread in the pub chat about how he is going to do a day at the MK Daytona track and a few of us thought might be fun to see if we can get a zone day done.
I'm not nominating myself to organise it but more about comming up with the idea ( like hte xmas meet )
So who would be intrested and which track would people prefer?
Daytona in MK is an amazing out door track with plenty of Karts and they can do big numbers.
I thought for a bit of fun we could make teams up like the 318is boys v's 325i boys or the zone mods v's members kind of thing.
So what do people think of the idea?

Definitely count me in Dan.
I'd help organise it but I'm a little busy these days.

Sounds like fun, count me in.
MK is a bit of a treck but doable.
Some of the other tracks mentioned were Buckmore Park and Whilton Mill both I have raced at and recommend

I would certainly be up for it, even from Yorkshire - its an amazing track. You can fit a lot of people on at the same time, there were 22 karts running when I was there and 3 in a team. It wasn't crowded even with the rain hammering down.

Buckmore Park can handle 30+ karts on the track at one time. MK is a a bit longer so would be able to handle more karts, no problem.Morat wrote: You can fit a lot of people on at the same time, there were 22 karts running when I was there and 3 in a team. I was thinking, if we do not get enough interest to get an E30zone karting event together and it is a lot of organisation, money, getting people interesting, chasing for money etc etc.
Perhaps getting an E30Zone team together might be an idea. Basically enter a team into an existing championship. OK Buckmore Park is local to me and we could maybe get a team together there but nothing to stop people getting a team together to contest a Milton Keynes championship.
An as an example Buckmore Park runs a 3 hour Pro Team Enduro http://www.buckmore.co.uk/pdf/club_calendar7.pdf £293 per kart. Team can have 3 to 6 drivers to spread the cost, also if someone wants to jump into one race thats fine, if somone can't make a race then we have the club to fall back on for an extra driver.
I think you would need three people commited to do the championship, then others willing to jump in should they want or be needed.
What do you think?
Also if we got a MK and a BP team team together, then after a year of racing/practice we could combine them and enter a 24 hour kart race

I wouldn't - I was on that track with my boss's PA and she's quick. She weighs about half as much as I do and has a National A/International B racing license... lucky we were on the same team!essexgirlracer wrote:Oh you lot are so funny!!!!!Rav335uk wrote:Where would you put you're "L" platesessexgirlracer wrote: Are us girlies allowed to join in too?????

I would suggest that we'd definitely want to be on the long circuit (1.3km International) and the twin engine karts are quite quick enough. I'd also say that racing in teams is more sociable, especially if we did something silly like draw teams out of the hat at the start of the day.
This will definitely test whether zoners are all penniless losers!
