Driving down the A45 yesterday, there's a "parking bay" about half a mile up straight over the roundabout, where the carriageway merges, would that be any good?

As in to say if the toby was on your left on the roundabout, you would go straight over, 2nd exit

You come off at the roundabout, take second exit which is the slip road back onto the a45, and the layby is on the slip road before it rejoins the main carriageway... I would post a map but can't do it on my phone

I've had a thought though, we need to be heading in the other direction though? We need to get back onto the M42.

I think we should meet where i have indicated below so we can use the roundabout to turn back towards the M42. It might be one-way but i doubt anyone will be there at 7am

I was thinking that too but was worried about the bus lane, plus didn't know if that service road would've been blocked or not by gates or something?

It should be fine, better place to meet up with regards to going in the right direction

Maybe Mr Diddler could be kind and go past there before Sunday to see?

If that's the case, on the map right on the corner of the junction with the M42 is a car park... I assume a hotel maybe? Would this not be better place to meet for all? It would save anyone needing to double back on themselves?
