Hi guys, soon going to be ordering a lowering kit for the e30 (tintop coupe) and cant decide whether to go for a 60/60 or 60/40 drop.

As standard the car seems to sit lower at the rear, so would a 60/40 kit give a more level stance?? Or are my rear springs just tired...

Post up your pics and help me decide!

If you are using the car you want 40mm or there abouts all round
Your rear springs will be shagged no doubt.

Pre-facelift or facelift car? Rear arches are different between the two models.

I have very little problems with a 60/40 drop. I catch the IS lip about once a year on very steep ramps. I never have any problems with sleeping policemen/speed humps/pillows etc. I did have all my top mounts replaced when the kit was fitted, not sure if that makes a difference.

Mine on 60/40 on 15" wheels

Dont go 60 on the rear, saggy arse looks horrid.

Nose down for the German stance.

Cant stress enough how the handling became more balanced with the nose down.

The lower front induces more camber, and less roll and faster reaction. the camber gained seems to reduce understeer.

Have a look at the ring pics, all propper cars, made to handle, no 60mm arse ends there.
