balls, a sport is just a std 2.5 with a closer box, uprated springs, shox & arb's, lsd and a black headlining.. too heavy, get to the back. CTR, in the right hands yep sure it'll spank a factory iS & sport.

I think the whole point to my thread is this:

bloke x goes and buys a ctr, it goes and looks quite nice, but can he drive it? A big fat no. What a waste of 8 grand. he couldn't ever touch my 320 in his st170..?

so he rocks up in his CTR, clear road, flag down and same situation and after exiting the first turn he's nowhere, turn 3 and job done..end of.. all the gear and no idea.

It's a shame, but he wouldn't stop jizzing allover it & snub my e30's, so I thought he needed some education. I bided my time & just so happens the opportunity was yesterday am.

He knew the score but I was expecting a lot more.. I stil resolve to the fact my iS is fast enough & for all you 325ers out there. I've been there, and I'll be returning..

Why dont you galvanisers put your money where you mouth is a rock up in your 4 bangers?

Or cant you take public humiliation?

With all that power and the feather weight M42 over the front wheels an iS will surely just flip over backwards in a 1/4 drag. :P

My trip to the Ring last week proves otherwise.

Pod is just to show you galvanisers how arthritic your M42 turds are!

And that my B25 can mix it with the M50's!

There is no way this should get locked untill there is santapod challenge thrown down by IS owners against some 325is.

How boring would the zone be if E30s only came with one type of engine.

It wouldn't be a challenge for the glavanisers unless the '25 owners didn't use 1st or second!

Because most IS owners are saying the IS is as fast, this would put an end to thease debates.

Im not too sure about stripped out cars, the interior you dont need cant weigh more than a person, and i dont notice any difference 2 up.

I'll fly the 4 pot flag at the pod. My shell isn't galvanised as it's not an original IS but I'll just have have to hope she can handle the power.

I should warn you I've done the 'throttle body heater plate delete mod' ;-)

Shall we start a list?

like particle physics, you can't have the best of both worlds at one given point

I think not.

All this waffle about "superior hadling through the twisties" is an utter load of yarn!

6 pot E30's handle perfectly well, as demonstrated last weekend!

Barry, its a bit unfair to say all 4 pots, some owners are perfectly happy to own a 316/18, and poodle to the shops sounding like a food mixer.
It only seems to be ALL IS pilots who have a bee in their bonnet. :D

"i can punch just as hard as you daddy, course you can son" type of thing..

he obviously doesnt mean ALL 4 pots. just bmw 4 pots. :D
owners of 316/318's that potter to the shops arent the ones claiming to be 325 beaters.

then what would we talk about all night?
figures plucked from the internet show a kerb weight difference of 9kgs between a 325 and a 318is so it must be true.
9kg isnt going to make a noticeable difference on 2 like for like road cars that wont be counteracted by the 30+bhp power difference .
admit it. you bought the wrong cars. :D
