i read on one of the posts that someone had some black tar like substance in their engine bay and asked how to get it off without ruining the paintwork. We have some similar black substance where sideskirts could go .want to avoid sideskirts because there is red paint underneath so this "stonechipping"that people say it is was obviously done after it was manufactured i know its meant to be there but....... i'm sorry its gotta go somehow.. oh yeah looking for some wheels too.....no silly prices!!

if it's underseal, yes it would work.
I would burn it off, then re-paint the sills

Do you mean the black sections like the exterior sills and bottom of the rear bumper? if so that black stuff is paint! Will need to be stripped/sanded then re-painted.
Talk to swirlyE30 he colour coded his sills etc.
