Im trying to fot the above for a 540 caliper with audi tt disc conversion. i was told to get a 735 master cylinder. but it looks nothing like my 325 one. do i need the servo too? or is it another master cylinder i need?

i aint 100% certain but i think its the E32 740i/750i cylinder that is the only one thats the proper fit

im not certain about this either but i thought the 750 and 735 were the same and gave a better pedal. iirc the 740/540 is wrong for some reason, possibly pedal height.

have a search this was done a few months back.

The 750 master cylinder is a straight swap, it has a 25mm bore. . .

I have swapped from 23mm to 25mm after I fitted the 540/735 calipers. But to be honest I don't know if I would do it again.
Yes the pedal is harder and a bit shorter travel but I also liked the better modulation with the 23mm M/C and the 25mm M/C requires more effort.

I would try it with the 23mm first and then make your mind up.

That's good advice, my standard M/C is fine with wilwoods up front and e30 m3 calipers at the back.
