crazy woman disliked my e30
Moderator: martauto
I was cruising down a country road at fairly sensible speed last week and the driver in an e36 touring coming the other way started flicking me the Vs. Very random, you do sometimes get waves and flashes if you're giving it some, but that was the most random incident
cheers,

Some old dude pulled out in front of me on a roundabout, as I tooted and gave the 'I have priority expression" he flipped me the bird, that totally enraged me!
Nothing like being flipped the bird by someone in the wrong to give a touch of the old road rage, if he had just waved in "sorry mate" kinda way it would have been fine.
So I screamed a bit, revved my engine a bit, tailgated a bit
and then calmed down.
Joys of driving!

You don't win friends with salad...........
Driving does bring out v odd tendancies in people.
If someone wants to speed past, I have no problem moving over. If people want to do silly speeds, I'm not a policeman, they can do what they want.
If I'm coming up behind someone on the outside lane and there is no reason for them to be there (i.e. middle lane clear) I will flash.robbo86 wrote:I get annoyed at people who come up behind and flash me to get out of the way.

With you on that one. The only time it's a problem if is if they're doing such ton-plus speed that you simply can't get out of the way quick enough, and they get all irate at having to slow down while you negotiate slower traffic still at a fair, illegal, lick.GeorgeUK wrote:Driving does bring out v odd tendancies in people.

I am not a middle or outside lane hero (ie sit there for no reason when I could be on the inside lane) but object to being flashed at when there is no where to go. On a dual carriageway doing 80mph when some woman in a Ford Ka come up behind me clearly doing some speed. Now being in a Ka I can understand why she wouldnt want to lose the speed she spent ages building up, but my objection to being flashed was that there was 3 lorrys in convoy to my left leaving me nowhere to pull over. I decided to ignore her and continue overtaking the lorries at my normal rate and then pulling in to the left to let her past, noting the large gap between the lorries and any more traffic in the left lane. Once the Ford Ka driver was alongside me I booted it away before pulling out a good distance in front of her and slowing down to the speed I was at to begin with. The Ka driver, to her credit when she caught up to me was laughing and gave up trying to overtake me anymore.
It is very annoying when people flash you to get out of the way. They usually do it when you can neither pull in or move faster forward. I usually pull in to the middle lane and then pull out right behind them giving them assistance to drive as fast as they want encouraging them with gestures of 'faster, faster' until they give up. I know its wrong cos my wife bollocks me.

as I went to over take this woman I noticed her hand was out the window and she was giving me the finger
A little further along the motorway she overtook me again this time waving me goodbye?? once she had passed me she moved into the same lane and started to slow down
maybe she was just jealous of e30? or just a bmw driver hater?
anyone else had random abuse while in their e30??
Women do thing's like this once a month...
I was driving for work the other day; some old guy decided to try and pull out in front of me but chickened out at the last minute, i had stopped the van just in front of him turned and gave him a 'dissaproving' look; he was giving it loads in the car so i just drove on shaking my head. he then rang my job to complain that i was driving too fast and aggressive........ him trying to pull out on to a busy road with traffic on it was annoying enough but then having the temerity to complain about my driving. sweet jesus.

I get this every day too, not in the E30 though, but in the truck.
Normally pikeys, or the local cruise kids, they seem to not like us because we seize their cars, should pay insurance like everyone else.
A vandalised police van on the back, driving through the local council estates normally gets the thumbs up though!

Another troll?
I've only had the odd person give me abuse while driving the BM, they usually get ignored or blown a kiss (that really pisses them off
)
At work in the bus, you get it all but in something that size most people can be 'persuaded' to let you through
If somone decides to go head to head down a narrow street even the most pig headed driver backs up when i tell him "sorry pal but i can't reverse without police assistance, shal i ring them?"
