It all depends on how badly they're corroded. There are some that go above the rear trailing arm and are a right bitch to get to. I tried to replace mine and gave up in the end and took it to a garage to do. I can't remember how much it was though as I had a few other bits done at the same time.
If I ever had to do it again, I'd take it straight to a garage just because of the agro.

I'd have a look at them and see what they look like. If they are showing signs of corroding then it might be worth changing them while it's still an easy job. The new brake lines are pretty cheap and it would save a lot of tool throwing and swearing at a later date.

I just finished redoing all my lines, some are a right cow and others not so bad. I could bend the pipes the way BMW did so on the rear arms I did my own path, which works really well, as a precaution I have covered them in petrol pipe, may sound daft, but with the vibrations and everything it just adds a little safety, as advised by the AA mechanic. Really satisfiying to look at and think "I DID ALL THAT". You can get a pipe bender from any good motor factors and pipes ready to bend from a good brake specialist.

Available from any motor factors.
To fit rear ones, the easiest thing to do is take out the fuel tank (which probably needs paint anyway).

jhonno,
on my rwd escort, i borrowed my mates brake pipe bender and swager(sp?) and made all new ones myself.
after making one or two mistakes putting the wrong type of ends on,
you get the hang of it, you could do it on a weekend.
