Very few body kits look any good unless you spend Megabucks on completing the look. use the search function on here for Tech 2 body kit, unless you have thousands to chuck at it in which case search "bootyman" and see what can be achieved!

Welcome and nice car! Get some pics up!
Mtec bodykits are the best! What year is your 318i? If its 83-87 then Mtec1 kit if its 87-93 then Mtec 2! They are the only ones that can be fitted well on a tight budget imo!

Welcome to the Zone
As Ollie said, different body kit for different era, pre-facelift (M Tech 1) and facelift (M Tech 2).
Also is it a 2 door?

if your car is a G reg then it is the facelify and it will accept the Mtech 2 kit on the red car easily, i have a guide on how to fit it yourself..
http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... ar_bumpers
budget for about 300-500 pound for the kit and a couple of hundred to paint it the correct colour,
to make it easier start by getting the front and rear bumper as i have done on my cab, then if happy look for the side skirts and door pods.
or you could try a two tone kit like my sport...

I've seen quite a few comments about fibreglass kits being not very good, this has concerned me as I got one to fit when mine's finished !!
All the one's I've seen (barring one that looked excellent) looked very poor not because of the kit being fibreglass but because of the very poor job that's been done in fitting them.
I'll have to wait & see,
(That said, if it does look sh*t it'll be in the bin !!)
Good luck ollie with whatever you choose,

Fribre glass isn't good becuase they are quite weak. Go for original ones, becuase they will hold value when you sell them.
