Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

If so, where did you connect it.

If not, i'll figure it out and do a quick techie article :P

Sounds useful and could save a flat battery every now and again. Just a thought would it be possible to wire it up to the gong of the OBC??

If you take a feed from the back of the light switch(side light wire) and connect this to the poss. on your buzzer and the connect the neg. of your buzzer to the interior light switch(on the door frame) then when your lights are on and you open the door the buzzer will sound.

hope this helps

You need to include a diode as well to prevent reverse current flow from 12V+, through interior light, through buzzer, through sidelamps, to ground. 1N4002 diode or similar will do.
The OBC gong sounds if you ground the blue/brown wire, but wouldn't have a 12V+ supply with the ignition off.
Have been considering using a duel gong from an E34 5 series for just this purpose.

Use a two terminal door switch.

One side for the interior light and one side for the lights on warning buzzer ground connection, these two circuits are then seperated when the door is closed and you get no feedback probs'

:D :)

Point taken about the diode
I wrote this as i would do this at work as the buzzers we use are already equiped with a diode on the circuit board inside for reverse polarity protection so these won,t pass current backwards or go bang if you get it wrong.
Diodes are pence at Maplins or any Radio spares type shop so just make sure you connesct it so the silver band is the end you want to block the current flow.
