ALpine screen install.

Ive got a alpine CVA 1003r flip out screen with a 6 disc mp3 changer. Im about to put the ps3 in there or ps2 whatever.

However ive got nothing but "screen turned off for safety". This is something to do with the handbrake cable isnt it?

Can someone tell me what i neeed to do to get the ps2 to come on screen. Can hear it load up the ps2 just cant see it.

ANyone know what wire im ment to be sorting out? on the back of the unit like? I have no manual to tell me

Hi pretty sure you just wire the yellow/blue wire to earth instead of the handbrake

Technically, the screen is only supposed to work while your parked up with the handbrake on.


BUT

If you earth the Yellow/Blue wire it will indeed work(does on mine anyway)

hmmmm ive just earthed it, and i can get the screen to change which it doesnt normally but i still cant see the ps2. just a black screen instead of the blue i usually see.

Can still hear the ps2 but not see. So frustrating

If the screen works for the other settings (CD/tuner/whatever) then you've got the earth right.

Must be a dodgy video lead!! Maybe a silly q, but you have got a single yellow phono on the same input as the audio L/R??

If you have a yellow video rca connected, flick through the other inputs and see if it appears!! Could simply be in the wrong socket!!!

I'm also assuming you tested the ps works fine on another tv/monitor???
