paint for the sills

whats the correct paint thats on the sills, mine could do with repainting, my step dad used hammerite i think on his but it looks a little darker/duller than they usually are

whats the nearest thing you can buy off the shelf to repaint them

Satin black spray from halfords is very close to how they were new.

Or are you trying to replicate the stone chip finish?

i would think so, but lots of masking and a rattle can will give a better result

i would be scared incase i got it all over the paint drive wheels and what not

ive got areas at the edges etc where white is showing through

they dont look too bad brushed on





but in honesty i want them to look like they left the factory so if its rattle cans it needs i will give it a bash

I used a Dinitrol anti-stone chip paint and it turned out really well. After a while it looked slightly weathered like an original finish in very good shape. Ordinary satin black paint is right colour but will probably not be robust enough for sills.
