Hi,

Last year I removed the sunroof and the cassette taking away 7kgs of weight and enabling me to get the cage in. However it looked a bloody mess with tac welds and bathroom sealer holding it in.... :?

So a mate who has experience in this sort of thing looked at it and got stuck in - it was never going to be perfect because of the damage done by me removing the sunroof...

Inside work...Done ages ago YUK!!

Yesterday....
Filler, Sander, wet n dry, spray putty, wet n dry, Hammerite white smooth in a rattle can - Quality!

It looks 100 times better but I've ordered a decal to cover the roof so you won't be able to see the slight lines..

Time to do 7hrs approx.
Cost £40 (plus coffee, kit kats and bacon sandwiches for Graham (cheers pal - great job)

Ty Croes - Tell me when as I'm over there 18th Aug to 25th Aug visiting family - it there a meeting there soon? Love to go and test the new diff out :twisted:

Suspension set up is bilstien sprintline kit shocks and springs - poly bushed all round, works really well, would love coilovers but no spare cash for that at the moment.// :roll:

What I REALLY need is a good steering rack - is the only solution a E36 or Z3 1,9 still? No quick rack by a third party????

As the roof had a few imperfections when the paint went on a decal was needed to make them go disappear...

First pic: The yellow sticker on the sun strip is from doing the Anglesey GP circuit - Just fantastic if you've not been there 8)

it's a kind of abrasive paper, sand paper, emery paper. which ever term translates best!

You can use it either wet or dry. Used wet it doesn't clog the paper up, but you don't want to use it wet on filler, as the filler will soak up the water and either rust the metal below and / or you will end up with water moisture beneath the paint and get micro-blisters :(
