Decided to take the light units out so that I could give the front end a proper clean whilst doing the M50 swap.
There are three large, self tapper screws that hold each unit in place (they go through the square holes either side & top centre, that can be seen in the pic)
As these are very rusty/knackered, I thought I'd change them......erm, No !!!

Despite spending a good couple of hours trawling through the ETK myself AND getting the local Stealers parts guys on the case (they're usually pretty good), can I find them? Can I :cens: :banghead:.

So I now I throw myself at the mercy of the first smartarse to come back & say "Got 5 zillion of them in me lockup mate" or "It's part number XXX on pge XXX"

Go ahead.....make my day winkeye

Nice try Ant. :thumb:
But doesn't item 15 come in from behind the units rather than from the front & why are there 7 listed against the quantity rather than the 6 needed? :)

I'd go with what Ant says, it's the only other screw in that area (apart from the screws that hold the dipped beam units together), the name of the screw also gives a clue as it's a rather large screw! I would imagine there's another one being used somewhere on the car, that's why it lists 6?! Edit, I meant 7!

Just checked , my car has 7 in use in that area, 3 each lamp unit and one additional on the O/S retaining the main loom plug where it joins the headlamp sub loom.

my car is odd though, has non smilies and dim/dip function

its my best guess, Ian the ETK wizzard will show us the error of our ways soon enough

Good answer! It's a screw; why bother paying $tealer prices?!

:offtopic: :- they wanted Ԛ£8 for a meter of fuel hose yesterday! Probably the same (goodyear) stuff as halfords wanted Ԛ£4 (Ԛ£3 with trade discount) for?!

Ant is right.

The part number he has mentioned is the correct one, except the Germans have yet again complicated the diagram by showing it as if the screws are coming in from the inside rather than the outside.

I bought a few of those recently, about 25p each.
