I think that combo was utterly gerogious Spook's and work well with that to die for colour you have on your "coont mobile"spook wrote:My own turd wearing Hartge and Borbets![]()
I have to say your car on the Hartge is still one of the best e30's I've ever seen and if I wasn't an Alpina deviant would be trying to go for.

those ronals are stunning but i dont know if i could live with TURBO written on the side..... looks like those special bits you can buy from cheap car shops i.e. blue windscreen washers and red seat belt covers...
there can only really be one type of rim...err no sorry two types of rim....

these would look the muts nuts on a black m3.

Problem is the old school wheels are generally 15" and anything over a 45/50 profile tyre looks shit.
So then you have to drop the car to 'differ' levels for them to look good with the low profile
And the slightly higher rear arch line of the metal bumpered cars makes it even worse.
Some cool wheels on here, but most of the 15"s would only look 'really' good on a dub.

have to agree with that, 16in ronal turbos would look awesome on a 60/60 dropped chromie, but the 15s don't quite work for me. i'm guessing the early e30 racers used 15in ronal racing split rims (very similar lookking to the 1 piece turbos) but ran belly scrapingly low so managed to pull it off ok.Jon_Bmw wrote:Problem is the old school wheels are generally 15" and anything over a 45/50 profile tyre looks shit.

How about those turbofan style wheels that were on Ste's old touring?
Not in E30s any more
Now i've always wanted to see an E30 on banded steelies, and it looks awesome
How much would a set of those cost? Although i imagine they weigh something cronic!
So many nice wheels on this thread but may favourites are probably Jimbobs/Ste's old 17" black centered split rim Hargtes, if only i had the cash at the time

Style 10s. People slag them off, but I think they look cool - and easy to clean! - I wish I'd bought the set B7 had for sale last year now.
