as above peps, I had this noise bout 2 weeks now it was based arround the rear of the car and was causing a shed load of viberation but yesterday the passanger side of my tourer dropped bout 1 1/2" :cry:
:eek: so off i went to my brother-in-laws (helpin hand) got to my garrage jacked the tourer up and started lookin when to my horror i saw what was left of my shock top mounts :cry: :cry: 8O 8O

so off to gsf i went, Ԛ£20 later and an hours labor and its all good again,
what i would like to know is , is there an uprated rear top mount as im runnin Bilstine shox and springs and my driving is quite hard and dont want to have to replace these every year as according to the history these were only done 17 months ago.

Uprated mounts are ones from an E46 something or other. Don't know where everone is tonight, but someone should be able to give you the exact details.

Its the E46 Cab ones. Just done this 'upgrade' for my touring and its made a noticable difference. BMW Part numbers (copied from another post).

33 50 4 035 931 Ԛ£11.58 + vat

The gaskget is: 33 52 6 772 864 Ԛ£0.22 + vat

So they don't cost that much either.
