I have bought two s50b32's one has a crash damaged head and the other has bottom end trouble so I am going to strip them both and try and make one good engine out of the two.
what I am looking for is a little advise on things i should replace regardless od condition.
I will be fitting new Water pump and thermostat ( old one broke )
New oil pump (s50b30)
I have heard you can get a BMW group n part oil restrictor to stop too much oil going to the head at high rpm .
will definitly fit ARP bolts in big ends .

what adout main bearing bolts ARP or are standard ok for the odd track day .

I am thinking of changing all shell bearings
Dont know adout piston rings ?the bottom end is from a 98 low milage m3 .

I will also reshim the valves after its run in for a while .

I would also appreciate any advise and any pdf docs on s50b32 engine for refrence .

Thanks
