86 325i sport have the close ratio gear box and lsd

arite lookin for sum info, am wantin to buy a 325sport and have seen a possible contender its an 86 model will it still cum with m tech suspension close ratio gearbox and lsd chrz!

Yeh it will mate.Although 86 is the Mtech1 cars. Have a search around on here for Mtech1 sports and Mtech2. The ones are the first type made. And the tech2s were the updated versions with slightly differnt engines, kit and little touches.


The tech1's are prone to rust, so make sure you check all under the arches etc mate, boot floor, under floor matts.

The good thing is, the engines are slightly differnt compresion than the newer ones and they usually are a tiny bit quicker.
If the car is standard it should have an LSD, sport interiour, kit, close ratio box and some other extras

You should have a close-ratio gearbox, and a 3.64LSD.

chrz i think i have found a good 1 has been garaged and has only done 1000 dry miles in the last 3yrs with reasonable mileage and fsh, du think i should just b patient and try to hold out for a later model or would u still put your faith in the m tech 1"s aswell?

I have a tech 1 mate if you wanna see pics, there quite rare on here to be honest, we did a list last month and only 7 tech 1 zoners were listed, 3 of which no longer have the car sold/crashed.

yeh that would be great! have spent hrs searching 4 pics of tech1 but didnt find many at all! dying breed eh!
