BMW do the side sill in two sections, front and back half's. About £90 each piece
Don't know of after market parts for the E34.

A skilled panel man should be able to patch it 'invisibly'. I'm surprised it's that rusty, I thought e34's were near enough immune! Mine has some rust on the bootlid and that's it.

my sport has had its sills eaten by it mainly at the back near the rear wheel arches as it goes under the car really i wanted to get 2 full sills and have done with it for a nother 20 years or so! other than that its spotless. the mtech kit continues from the e30 to rot other models lol!

Not immune at all, the cars with rusty sills generally have skirts, the skirts can hold an incredible amount of dirt/mud and the rust is always at the rear where the crud builds up most.oakey wrote:A skilled panel man should be able to patch it 'invisibly'. Wings have the same problem where crap build up behind the dirt shields

As the rot is behind the skirt the obvious way forward is to plate the holes and drown the area in underseal/cavity wax.

There are loads of excellent e34 shells out there for peanuts. I'd reshell it. The sports were not that different to a standard car TBO.
