Front fog light connection.
Moderator: martauto
I would like to salvage my front fogs from retired tourer and place them on my saloon. As the saloon did not have these do I have to make a new wiring connection or is there one somewhere already on the loom. My logic for this is BMW might have just fitted one loom for all with the wires there and used depending on the required customer specs. The dashboard light switch seems to be just pop out the old single switch and place the double switch in.

the plugs will be taped up underneath the headlights, just clean them up and shove them through the hole thats there and connect. fit a relay to K8, cant remember fuses though, and finally put a bulb in the dash warning light, though they will work without it. do all that and you'll be jammin'

not really, think its just 4 screws that hold them in, take. them out and ease the dials out a bit, enough to dis-connect the big plug at the back and thats it. im sure the symbols for the lights are printed on the back so you cant go wrongorkboss wrote:I will look for the plug and pull the fuses and relay off the tourer. Placing a bulb in the dash is alot of grief isn't it?

And three plastic quarter turns.smithy318i wrote:2 nuts and 8 screws to take the cluster out.
It might just be possible to get the bulb in by just removing the under ddash cover if you have small hands and are double jointed.
