IPod in Car!

Right, I have this Aiwa CD Player out of our old 190E that I would like to fit in my chromie, and I want to put my IPod in my car once I get around to fitting all the speakers, cabling etc....!

Anyway does anyone know of an IPod connector that uses the highlighted socket (headphone Jack size) to play through the CD Player???

Should be dead straightforward - you just need a lead with a 3.5mm headphone plug on each end - one end goes to the headphone jack in the ipod ( or line out if it has one - better ) the other plugs into the front of your headunit and away you go.

Maplins or somewhere like that will do em - or maybe halfrauds or Argos.

And I quite like the headunit actually! And yep it has got the surround! You have to remember Alex I don't earn much money!

Yep I'm going to pick it up a week on Thursday! Ive already seen it went to view it whilst the auction was still running! He's very happy I won it and said he thinks its going to a good home!

I'm not sure about this jack point on ur stereo. Does it say 'aux in' next to it?

There was a lead coming out of the back of my old head unit which looked like it would take an ipod lead so i bought one only to find that there was no 'aux' channel on the stereo!

Ended up buying a new head unit.

Ah, just zoomed and it says 'tape in'. - You might get away with it.

Would like to think I will get away with it, because I can't afford a new head unit!

And I don't want my Ipod Classic to go to waste!
