When I get my Motorsport cab, chances are the sound system gonna be pants! Thus Im gonna have to spend out a little [or a lot] on a headunit/sub/speakers etc. Just wondering if anyone has used Sextons to get their stuff fitted?
I've had a quick look at JAMZ thread about installs in cabs, and I'd so wanna use someone who knows what their doing to get the best possible sound inside the cabin.
My current car, a New Beetle [which is going on Saturday], got a sweet Pioneer headunit, aftermarket front speakers/tweeters, an amp in the boot running them. And a 10" sub/amp also in the boot....cost me a grand for that little lot but it sounds hella good.
If not Sextons, can anyone recommend anywhere else in the midlands[ish]?
Sextons?

Stay away from Sextons mate i had a bad experiance with them years ago. What do you need to go to them for anyway? Fit it your self and save
I currently working my i setup in my motorsport at the minute. What you need is some good 6 inch fronts in some doorbuilds and an amp to power them. I've got four 10" subs in the boot currently running at 500wrms and sounds quite loud but needs some fine tuning. I'll let you know when i'm done.

it really depends on the individual that does any installation work for you. one of the guys in my local sextons is an enthusiast - he lives eats and breathes car stereos and goes in for installer challenges during his time off etc etc - and his work is supremely good. he is the fountain of all ice knowledge and experience as far as i am concerned and i learn from him every time i go see him.
sometimes you get a monkey though - make sure you meet in person whoever is going to do any work and ask to see and hear their car - you'll learn a lot about them very quickly and can then make a decision.

Im from Hereford Chu346. I could try and do it myself but not knowing what I'm doing...could be a bad idea? I'm a bit crazy about getting things done right too, if something went a little tits up [like trim not fitting back as it should] it would drive me nuts till the day I die!
Just gotta find a place that know exactly what they doing - with cabs and older cars.
