Oh dear, a pretty nasty scuttle.
Shame as it looks like a straight car other wise.
Screen and dash out repair joe.

I had this done on mine, it is indeed a screen out job, dash was left in though. I had it done by AE coach works, they're in the little industrial estate next the Ash train station.
Looks like a nice car.

You need to look further than that if you are thinking about buying, scuttle vent and the glove box need to come out for a start, pull the carpets back and check for damp/more rust. Rear inner arches need checking also
Seller cant expect much more than £500 with that rotten scuttle

cheers for the reply guys,
yer barry, your right the rest of the car is stright, iv looked in the boot had the carpets up all looks fine, down in the foot wells are dry and no sign of rust, arch's are all good, iv had a good look round the hole car and thats the only promblem i can find, his asking 750 for it now (was 950 to start), witch really is still a bit high, so might let this 1 go and hold out for something else
powelly- when you took yours in to that place what sort of money did they charge, just wondring thats all

if that is all that is wrong then i would think twice about letting it go, what would it owe you with the price of the repair? is it worth it for a clean shell? really, really look everywhere though. and i mean everywhere, that shell could stay with you as long as the e30 bug does if its one of them minters..

well am thinking about, just trying to find how much it would cost to get it sorted, as like a say rest of the shell looks mint, might go back sunday and have another look with dad, in side the boot and get the carpets up again and make sure thats it, will have to see what happens. should be taking the head off the tourer sometime over the weekend end to, just to see how bad itis

Why dont you just spend the money on repairing your chromie?
All you need is a wing and front panel now right?

The repair to the white car will cost between £500-750 for the car will end up owing you £1250-1500.
Thats tidy 325i money!

by sounds of it, its not worth it then, like you say going stick to doing the chromie, spent all last weekend on it, putting back a thew bits and cleaning the engine up, as for the mean time if the the toure is a easy fix ill sort that out so at least iv got a car to use, or andyp just sent me a pm saying his got a 316 enging for sale. so if thats any good might go with that, as it wouldnt cost that much and that way the tourer is back on road to, then theres no need to rush the chromie
